Who operates TopSkills Postiz

TopSkills Postiz is operated by the team behind TopSkills MD, an educational project that publishes short, practical videos about AI and everyday technology. We run this self-hosted scheduling tool to prepare and publish that content across our social channels.

The tool uses the open-source Postiz scheduling engine, self-hosted on our own infrastructure at postiz.cliqsolutions.com.br.

How TopSkills Postiz connects to TikTok

TopSkills Postiz uses TikTok's official Login Kit and Content Posting API so you can connect your TikTok account and publish your own videos directly from the dashboard.

Connecting your account

You sign in through TikTok's official OAuth flow to authorize the connection. Postiz requests only the permissions listed below, and nothing more.

Once your account is connected, the tool uploads the videos you prepared and lets you configure each post before it goes live or is scheduled.

End-to-end flow

How a post happens, step by step

You sign in to the Postiz dashboard at postiz.cliqsolutions.com.br.
In the channel settings, you choose to add a TikTok channel and are redirected to TikTok's official authorization screen (Login Kit).
TikTok displays the requested permissions; you review and authorize them.
Back in Postiz, your TikTok account appears as a connected channel, identified by its avatar and display name.
You create a post: upload an MP4 video, write the caption, and set the TikTok options — privacy level, comments, Duet and Stitch.
Postiz uploads the video to TikTok through the Content Posting API and publishes it immediately, or at the scheduled time.

Permissions

Every permission we request, and why

TopSkills Postiz requests only the TikTok scopes listed below, and each one is used for a single, specific purpose. We request no other permissions.

Scope	What we use it for
user.info.basic	Identify the connected TikTok account inside Postiz — its display name and avatar — so you can see exactly which account is connected.
user.info.profile	Show the connected account's basic profile details in the Postiz dashboard.
user.info.stats	Display the connected account's statistics (followers, likes, video count) in the Postiz dashboard.
video.list	List the videos already published on the connected account, for content management and analytics inside Postiz. This data stays inside the dashboard and is never displayed on any public website.
video.upload	Upload your own video files to TikTok, including sending videos as drafts to the TikTok inbox when needed.
video.publish	Directly publish or schedule your own videos to the connected account, after you approve each post.

How to revoke access

From inside Postiz

You can disconnect the TikTok channel at any time from the Postiz settings. When a channel is disconnected, its stored access tokens are deleted.

From TikTok

In the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and websites, choose TopSkills Postiz and remove access. The same option is available on tiktok.com under "Manage app permissions".

Data and privacy

How your data is handled

TikTok data is used only to publish your content. The tool uses your TikTok data solely to connect your account and publish or schedule the posts you approve.
Access tokens are stored securely and used only to publish to the connected account. They are never sold or shared with third parties.
Your content and analytics stay inside the tool. Data read from TikTok — such as your video list and statistics — is shown only inside the Postiz dashboard, never on a public page.
Self-hosted. The application runs on infrastructure controlled by our team, and TikTok data is only ever transmitted to TikTok's official APIs.
